Number of adults earning a family sustaining wage.

Minnesota is home to some of the largest racial disparities in the nation. To measure our progress toward eliminating these disparities, we track the number of adults earning a family sustaining wage across age groups and educational attainment.

Just over half of all working adults in the Twin Cities earn a family sustaining wage. In the Twin Cities 7-county region a family sustaining hourly wage ranges from $9.69/hour for a single adult to $33.28/hour for a single adult with three children. To calculate this, we use the Living Wage Calculator.
